Pulse Botanicals

Ecologically conscious garden care and herbal medicine

Bringing beauty, biodiversity, and joyful abundance to Minneapolis gardens since 2012!

Pulse Botanicals was founded with the desire to support our clients personal connection to nature. We design, install and cultivate gardens working with nature to help our ecosystem thrive. We are passionate about restoring lawns into bountiful, ecologically diverse pollinator friendly spaces!

A little backstory…

Growing up, Eve (Pulse Botanicals founder) received multiple copies of a book entitled The Secret Garden. For those familiar with the story, you’ll know that it has to do with the discovery of a secret garden that provided a healing sanctuary to those who spent time there. These many copies of the same book came to her as gifts from various family friends and relatives, as though the universe kept saying “here’s a clue to your life’s mission…”

Eve’s work as a landscaper is about making beautiful spaces, but it is also about building happier, healthier and more abundant relationships between humans and the many plants that surround us. Every garden can be a “Secret Garden” — a refuge for you to feel the beauty, resiliency, inspiration and connection found in nature.

Evolution of Pulse Botanicals

For over 14 years, Eve has built extensive knowledge of the plant realm, including everything from herbalism, regenerative agriculture, landscape design, and much more.

Before Pulse Botanicals, Eve ran an urban farm/ CSA called Bootstrap Urban Farm, using empty lots and back yards here in Minneapolis as growing spaces for delicious and vibrant organic vegetables. In those days, it wouldn’t have been unusual to see Eve pulling a bike trailer full of leafy greens with a toddler in tow.

In addition to her urban farm projects (which has also included establishing community gardens around the city), Eve studied herbalism at MCTC and has woven her knowledge of herbal medicine into her garden projects. She has several years of experience growing, harvesting, and processing herbal medicines. If you frequent makers-markets around the Twin Cities, chances are you’ve spotted Pulse Botanicals with their sleepy time tinctures, nourishing herbal tea mixes, and even “cleanse that sh*tty energy” room sprays.

Collaborating with clients around the city as a landscaper, Eve offers a variety of support, from garden coaching, design, maintenance, as well as major garden installs, stonework, and much more.
